Rubber Tyred Excavator

Features

Our Liebherr 918A rubber tyred excavator has the ability to travel up to 30km/hour, making this machine the perfect fit for large scale and roadside pruning works. To further the capabilities of this machine it has been fitted with a mulching head, perfect for roadside vegetation management.

This excavator is enhanced with a fitted power pack to supply power separately to the mulching head to increase its capabilities without having to draw power from the machine’s internal engine. This allows the machine to move at full capacity with its own hydraulic power. Rotating blades are also able to be fitted to this machine for roadside works.

Changing the attachment to a tigersaw with rotating grapple head gives MVS the ability to fell and/or cut up trees and vegetation with great efficiency.

Our rubber tyred excavator is fully guarded to ensure the protection of the cabin and the operator.

Uses

Our 18 Tonne Excavator is highly mobile with the ability to go along roadsides and tracks while mulching woody weeds, understory for fire mitigation, or roadside vegetation which is encroaching into the travelled “envelope”.

This machine has performed kilometres of roadside pruning for a range of council and government works. The Liebherr 918A has great experience in pushing back overgrown verges, allowing traffic to travel past safely without encroaching on the verge or disturbing the ground. MVS can provide a cutter to follow up and tidy any cuts on larger branches to ensure neat and tidy finishes.

Briar Rose, Gorse, Blackberries, Saplings and regrowth from unwanted trees and vegetation are readily treated with the mulching head on roadside verges.
